Summary:
This role is responsible for assisting in providing a safe, clean, and attractive environment that supports worship and a learning environment that promotes health, positive morale and pride. Execution of excellence enables us to lead people in a growing relationship with Jesus Christ by ensuring every person who attends our church has a remarkable guest experience.
Responsibilities:
- Understand the Village Baptist Church’s principles, programs and policies, following all safety rules and procedures & ensure compliance with all Federal, State and Local laws, codes and ordinances
- Accountable for gathering/ removing litter and disposing of trash or waste materials on grounds
- Assist with maintenance of the lawn, plants, and trees through routine mowing, raking, watering, pruning, trimming, edging, mulching, weeding, fertilization and other care required to ensure excellence.
- Safely and properly operating grounds maintenance tools, vehicles, and powered equipment and perform minor troubleshooting and maintenance as required
- Assist with proper upkeep of flower beds, sidewalks and parking lots; shoveling snow, planting seeds/bulbs, picking weeds and consistently refreshing appearance
- Assist with care for sports fields, practice areas and playgrounds to ensure a clean and safe environment
- Assist with special landscaping projects to ensure The Village Baptist Church, Christian Academy and Preschool are continuously striving towards excellence
- Other tasks as assigned by the Landscape Supervisor or Operation’s Manager

Schedule: Up to 20 hours per week as determined by Landscape Supervisor and Operation’s Manager.
