Description
The San Diego Unified School District is currently seeking Landscape Technician II. The Landscape Technician II plants and cares for lawns, shrubbery, and trees; assists in the training and direction of entry level Landscape Technicians; and performs other skilled gardening and ground maintenance duties.

This is a promotional/open opportunity, which means that current monthly-salaried employees receive precedence over other candidates on the eligible list. This list will be active for three (3) months with the possibility to be extended.
For a promotional/open posting, the top ten internal applicants will be provided unless there is an insufficient number and then the list will be supplemented with the top external applicants to make up the ten (Employment Regulations for the Classified Service of the San Diego Unified School District: Article 2, Section 9).

Minimum Qualifications
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Any combination of training, experience, and/or education equivalent to one year of recent, full-time, paid, diversified gardening or landscaping work.
LICENSES AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
Possession of a valid California driver's license.
Personality and character suited to working on school grounds.

- The supplemental questions should be answered thoroughly, clearly, and concisely as the responses provided (along with the entire application package) will be carefully reviewed to determine which candidates will move forward in the recruitment process.
- High School Diploma or CAPE Results or Photocopy of an OFFICIAL transcriptor Copy of Degree. Monthly-salaried employees who are currently working in a PARA position that requires the CAPE examination or equivalent have met this requirement.
Individuals who have completed high school or college-level coursework at an institution in a country other than the United States must provide a Foreign Equivalency Certification to satisfy the education requirement.
