LANDSCAPE MAINTENANCE TEAM LEADER (foreman/crew leader)

Landscape Maintenance Team Lead activities:
- Manage a team of one or more employees, including handling personnel issues onsite and training employees on policies and procedures.
- Plans and organizes the day's route, ensuring that sufficient resources and materials are available, and completes it in the most time-efficient manner.
- Performs various horticultural tasks to ensure an attractive landscape and optimal plant health, including weed control, certain perennial cultural practices, pruning, pest treatments, mowing, trimming, edging, and other routine lawn-care activities.
- Diagnose pest and plant issues, make recommendations, and/or takes remedial action as directed by standard company policy or management.
- May repair, replace, and/or clean brick pavers; replace dead or damaged plant material, noting the probable cause of decline; repair or replace low-voltage lighting; service garden ponds; perform minor maintenance on irrigation.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Interact with clients routinely, answering questions and assuring client satisfaction. Communicate client's concerns to management.
- Apply chemicals under the direction of a licensed custom applicator.
Operation of various landscaping, lawn care, and construction equipment, including:
- skid steer
- dingo
- rototiller
- trencher
- compactor
- saws and drills
Operate automatic medium-duty vehicles and trailers.
Take part in snow/ice operations, removal, and management activities.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must have a valid OH driver's license with a clean record and experience in truck and trailer operation.
- A 2 or 4-year degree in horticulture, landscape, or construction-related discipline is preferred but not required.
- Two years of Team Leader/foreman/crew leader experience are required without a degree.
- Must be able to operate equipment listed in the above descriptions.
- Must be able to lift 80 lbs.
- Experience with pavers/hardscape, carpentry, and horticulture/planting is beneficial.
- Bi-lingual (Spanish) speaking is a plus.
