Landscape Irrigation Technician

We are looking for an Irrigation Technician to be part of our team and be responsible for labor and materials in the field to complete assigned irrigation projects. Success in this position is indicated by jobs completed on time and on budget. This position must cooperate with landscape management, operations managers, enhancement managers and salespeople to see that the overall goals of each branch are met.

Responsibilities:

• Install, maintain, and repair irrigation systems for residential and commercial properties.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with irrigation systems.
• Perform regular inspections to ensure proper functioning of irrigation equipment.
• Adjust sprinkler heads and water flow rates to optimize water usage and coverage.
• Repair or replace damaged or malfunctioning components of irrigation systems.
• Collaborate with landscaping team to coordinate irrigation needs for different areas.
• Develop a clear understanding of the philosophies by which the company operates, the short-and long-term goals of the branch, and the financial position of the branch.
• Be an active part of our training process by attending or conducting certification training sessions on a regular basis.
• Develop a clear understanding of the hourly and cost budgets for each of your jobs. Monitor by reviewing job hours, reports, and job costs regularly and acting as needed. Communicate budget hours to assistants and crewmen.
• Provide only high quality work
• Maintain assigned vehicle and/or equipment in good working order.
• Complete daily digital time tracking.
• Maintain your vehicles and equipment so that they reflect our image and provide a safe operating environment for other employees.

Skills:

• Demonstrated skill and ability in servicing, repairing, and troubleshooting commercial irrigation systems.
• Demonstrated skill and ability to work with service customers.
• At least one year of experience doing irrigation work in a commercial setting.
• Two or four-year related degrees and two years of industry experience. Additional industry experience or industry certifications can substitute for a non-related degree, two-year degree, or no degree.
• Knowledge of basic computer operation to include iphone or ipad.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills, in English.
• Valid Class A commercial driver’s license with a clean record over the last three years. Ability to pass a drug test.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $24.00 per hour
