Job Title: Landscape Assistant Manager

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Landscape Assistant Manager to join our team. The primary duties of this role include supervising the maintenance and construction of landscapes, managing a crew of groundskeepers, ensuring the landscape is aesthetically pleasing and well-maintained, and providing exceptional customer service. Additionally, the Landscape Assistant Manager is responsible for ensuring the safety of the team while on the job.

Duties and Responsibilities:

- Provides day-to-day supervision for teams of groundskeepers, ensuring the successful completion of all landscaping tasks
- Assists with the planning and design of new landscaping projects, including site visits, estimating, and scheduling
- Ensures the maintenance of all landscaping equipment, keeps records of all equipment maintenance and repairs, and arranges for the necessary replacement of any malfunctioning equipment
- Monitors groundskeeping activities to ensure that they are carried out safely and efficiently, and to ensure that all safety standards are adhered to
- Communicates effectively with staff, management, and customers to ensure the smooth execution of landscaping tasks and projects
- Conducts regular inspections of landscapes and takes necessary corrective actions when needed
- Maintains records of all landscaping activities, such as contract work orders received and completed, and updates these records as necessary
- Provides regular feedback and training to team members in order to improve their work quality and efficiency
- Performs necessary administrative duties such as scheduling, budgeting, and risk management
- Keeps up to date with latest trends and techniques in landscaping and horticulture

Qualifications:

- Proven experience as a Landscape Assistant Manager or a similar role
- Strong knowledge of horticulture and landscaping techniques
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
- Strong leadership skills with ability to motivate staff and build cohesive teams
- Well-organized and able to manage multiple projects at once
- Physically fit with ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Familiar with safety regulations and able to ensure that safety standards are adhered to at all times
- Must have a valid driver's license and clean driving record
- Pesticide license strongly preferred and will result in additional compensation
