Job Title: Laminator Assistant
Shift Details: 5:45 pm to 6:15 am
Pay Rate: $20.44 per hour plus $2.00 shift differential =$22.44 per hour
Location: Elk Grove Village, IL

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assist Laminator Operator I and/or II in following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Collaborate with Laminator Operator I & II to process materials according to work instructions.
• Mix adhesive according to specified formulas.
• Check the first piece for conformance to specifications.
• Set up and operate Lathe Machine following Operating Procedures when needed.
• Interpret job orders accurately.
• Maintain cleanliness of machines/equipment and adjacent work areas to SQF standards.
• Utilize satellite containers for Hazardous Waste in compliance with SOPs.
• Report quality issues to Laminator Operator I and/or supervisor for analysis and resolution.
• Immediately report all accidents and unsafe acts or conditions to the shift manager.
• Verify correct calculation of the needed amount of adhesive for the job.
• Determine the impression rollers required for the next four hours and cut/resurface to specifications.
• Report all Food Safety violations to management.
• Assist the Laminator Operator with tasks such as adding adhesive, changing raw material rolls, and operating the machine for break coverage.
• Participate in activities, including 5Star, Pillar Teams, Audits, Near Misses, etc.
• Regular, consistent attendance and punctuality are essential for job performance.

Skills Requirements:

• Proficient in reading, speaking, and writing English.
• Mechanical aptitude.
• Data input skills.
• Knowledge of using Tape Measure & Ruler (Metric-Standard).
