Description
Lakota Solutions, LLC. is currently searching for a Motor Vehicle Mechanic to join our team and support our contract at Fort Drum, NY on a long-term, full time basis.
Primary Duties/Responsibilities may include:
- Repairs, rebuilds, or overhauls major assemblies of internal combustion automobiles, buses, trucks, or tractors.
- Diagnosing the source of trouble and determining the extent of repairs required
- Replacing worn or broken parts such as piston rings, bearings, or other engine parts
- Rebuilding carburetors
- Repairing fuel injection, lighting, and ignition systems
- Grinding and adjusting valves
- Overhauling transmissions
Requirements
Candidate minimum requirments
Contractor personnel must possess a minimum of (5) five years of experience in the discipline they provide support.
Meet eligibility requirements to obtain a Common Access Card (CAC).
In general, requires rounded training and experience usually acquired through a formal apprenticeship or equivalent training and experience.

- Power Generation Equipment Maintenance and Troubleshooting Skillset
- Vehicle mounted Air Conditioning and Heater Maintenance and Troubleshooting Skillset
- NYS Driver's License - required to operate military vehicles without airbrakes
