THE OPPORTUNITY
Within Aeroflow, the Lactation and Perinatal Education Provider Group cares for patients through one-on-one appointments and classes.
- Our patients are pregnant mothers who plan to breastfeed and postpartum mothers who are breastfeeding.
- Providing education and care through a virtual platform increases rates of breastfeeding and parent satisfaction in their experience.
- Joining our department allows you to play a role in preparing the next generation of parents in how to gently respond to and care for their babies.
- This is a work from home position, and you must be in your home state while working at all times.
APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS
BLOG:
Candidates will only be considered if they have submitted a 500+ word blog with their application. The topic of the blog should be something that lots of moms are currently interested in online. Please select a hot topic. The intended audience for the blog should be pregnant moms. Most important elements to include in the blog: A style that’s like a casual, friendly chat at about a 5th grade reading level. Blogs should be uploaded through the "documents" section of the application. Acceptable formats are doc, docx, pdf, jpg or png.
YOUR PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Identifying, researching, creating, editing, and writing content related to lactation and perinatal topics for curriculum, care guides, presentations, social media, and other documents as assigned.
- Teaching classes and creating an active roster of Aeroflow patients for one-on-one appointments.
- Charting visits and maintaining accurate records according to payor requirements, per guidelines provided by Aeroflow.
- Supporting and advocating for the normal physiologic functions involved in the maternal-infant process.
- Providing evidence-based clinical information following the Academy of Breastfeeding Medicine Protocols.
- Enhancing your professional development by participating in lactation courses, workshops and exams and keeping apprised of current lactation literature.
- Maintaining certifications and/or licenses.
- Maintaining HIPAA confidentiality.
- Individual responsibility for knowledge of and compliance with laws, regulations, and policies.
- Compliance which is a condition of employment and is considered an element of job performance.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 2 or more years of clinical lactation experience in private practice or an outpatient lactation clinic
- Lactation (IBCLC) certification
- Stellar written and verbal communication
- 20 mbps upload speed for a wired connection or 30 mbps for a wireless connection
- Google Suite, Microsoft Office and Zoom proficiency.
- Able to work during all work hours in your home state (not another state or country)
- Has or is willing to obtain an NPI with the primary taxonomy as a Lactation Consultant
- Must be willing to obtain licensure in all states requested by Aeroflow; Aeroflow will assist financially and administratively with obtaining any new licenses and credentials needed.
- Ability to attend one monthly team administrative meeting and one monthly clinical meeting that may fall outside of the hours of your shift
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 50 WPM typing speed
- Employment history illustrating stability, reliability, and strong work ethic
- Proven ability to assess circumstances and pivot activities for the best use of time
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills and attention to detail
POSITION TYPE
Fulltime
- You must be able to work the same shifts on the same days and times each week ongoing. This job has a set schedule that cannot be changed.
SCHEDULE
40 hours/week
