Laborer/deckhand needed for established marine construction contractor. Work is located in the Great Lakes Basin working with tugs, barges, scows, cranes, excavators, etc. Work is assigned by the project Superintendent. As a Laborer/Deckhand job functions include:
- assemble rigging to lift and move material
- safely signal crane operators engaged in hoisting and moving loads to ensure safety of workers and materials
- grease and fuel machines
- equipment maintenance
- handle and secure mooring lines
- handle facing wires and winches
- scrape and paint when needed
- cutting with acetylene torch
- arc welding is a plus
- other duties as needed

Pay: $65,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
