We are currently looking for an entry level Lab Technician to work in our Lubbock Construction Materials Testing Lab in the Austin area. This is a great entry level opportunity! We are a great company. Come join us!
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Performing tests both in the field and laboratory for concrete, asphalt binder, hot mix, soils, and aggregates
• Provide support related to all aspects of software analysis, design, development, documentation, and configuration management
• Add new functionality, upgrades, debugging and enhancements for our software applications
• Participate in the preparation of data analysis, data entry and reporting
Requirements
Minimum Requirements:
- 0-5 years minimum experience working in the construction industry
- Experience reading and comprehending plans, specifications and test procedures Working knowledge of concrete, soils, base and asphalt pavements
- Highway or building construction experience and a proven history of working well with contractors and owners to accomplish construction tasks
- Must have a valid driver’s license
Technical Requirements:
- Preferred experience using Microsoft Word and Excel spreadsheets
- Ability to quickly obtain certification in Asphalt Binder, Concrete, Hot Mix, Soils and Base testing
