Laboratory Technician - Biomanufacturing

FUJIFILM Cellular Dynamics, Inc is recruiting for a Laboratory Technician to support biomanufacturing work in our cell manufacturing facility in Madison, WI. FCDI is a leading developer and manufacturer of human cells derived from induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSC). Drug discovery, toxicity testing, stem cell banking, and cell therapy development use these cell lines. In partnership with innovators worldwide, FCDI efforts combine biologically relevant human cells with the newest technologies to drive advancements in medicine and for healthier living. 

Responsibilities 

1. Provide support to the Discovery Research Manufacturing group. 
2. Inventory management; receive and stock manufacturing supplies while maintaining an efficient storage space and following safety standards.  
3. Disposal of biohazardous waste. 
4. Computer skills, utilize company systems to verify inventory and place orders as required. 
5. Maintain equipment, including routine maintenance, non-routine maintenance, and monitoring. 
6. Other tasks to assist in the manufacturing of Discovery Research Products as assigned. 
    

Required Skills and Education 

• High school diplomaplus two years of work experience in a science related field
• Strong organizational skills 

• Effective time management skills and ability to multi-task 
• Ability to work well independently and as part of a team 
• Demonstrated attention to detail and ability to follow standard operating procedures 
• Occasional weekend work may be required 
• Ability to occasionally lift fifty pounds 

• Ability to wear required personal protective equipment
