Laboratory Technician

Adecco is currently assisting an American supplier of scientific instrumentation, reagents and consumables, and software services in recruiting for Laboratory Technician role in Miami, FL.  

  

This position requires a person who has some knowledge of laboratory duties and/or biological sciences.  

  

Schedule: 4 10-hour shifts - days M-Th 8am-7pm 

  

Pay Rate: The wage for this position is between $15 and $20. Hourly wage may depend upon experience, education, geographic location and other factors.   

  

Key Objectives of the role:  

• Maintenance of laboratory equipment, data entry, maintenance of laboratory records including quality control, instrument logs, and inventory of reagents and supplies. 

• Perform preparation of reagents and controls  

• Perform daily and weekly maintenance of equipment per SOPs (standard operating procedures) and any other applicable documentation  

• Maintain laboratory and equipment clean and functional (On the job training will be provided) • Perform all tasks related to clinical sample testing (blood, urine), including sample receipt, log-in, sample preparation and testing, recording test results, and disposing of samples • Organize stock and maintains inventory; order stock as needed  

• Adhere to existing safety standards and help improve laboratory safety practices whenever possible  

• Provide support to direct and extended R&D team as necessary

Minimum Qualifications:  

• Associate Degree- with 3 years' experience  

• 4-year bachelor's degree (Chemistry, Biology, or other STEM related field) with 0-2 years' experience  

• Experience with urine chemistry and/or hematology diagnostic testing and instrumentation preferred

Pay Details: $15.00 to $20.00 per hour
