Roofing Test Lab - Contract Technician
Description: The Contract Technician is a key contributor to collaborative teams focused on delivering technical solutions that significantly impact the residential roofing business. This role involves conducting product tests to enhance the quality and efficiency of roofing operations.
Responsibilities:
- Demonstrates a strong commitment to safety, identifying and addressing hazards promptly.
- Conducts routine shingle testing, prepares samples, and performs various tests.
- Safely operates a forklift and maintains equipment.
- Inputs test results into the LIMs data system and documents observations.
- Contributes actively to safety initiatives, Near Miss tracking, and non-routine task hazard assessments.
- Ensures test deliverables meet Quality Requirements and Standards.
Experience and Knowledge Requirements:
- Requires an Associate’s degree; a Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
- Hands-on aptitude with mechanical equipment and comfortable using computer applications.
- Experience in manufacturing and/or laboratory environments is essential.
- Attention to detail is crucial.
