Position Summary
- The Laboratory Supervisor is responsible for the daily operation of the assigned section. They plan, organize, and direct the activities of the technical and non-technical personnel to provide optimal, cost-effective delivery of services according to department standards of quality, productivity and performance. Serves as a resource to identify, investigate, resolve and monitor concerns when they are identified. The Laboratory Supervisor acts as a liaison for all levels of staff. They collaborate with managers to assure uninterrupted workflow. They also understand and comply with the Behavior Standards and department policies, procedures and regulations.
Minimum Requirements
- Education HT Medical Laboratory Technician Associate degree or higher
- Experience Five years-of Histology experience with in-depth knowledge of laboratory operations. Prefer experience working in a large hospital laboratory setting and prefer previous supervisory experience.
Required Licenses/Registrations/Certifications
- Certification by an acceptable laboratory registry as a HT, MLT, MT, or MLS, ASCP.
