We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Lab Director to lead our team and drive excellence in our cannabis testing operations.

Position Overview:

As the Lab Director, you will play a pivotal role in the management of our ISO 17025 accredited testing laboratory. Your expertise in analytical instrument operation and maintenance, ISO management, and regulatory compliance will be crucial in ensuring the accuracy and precision of our testing results while maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

Laboratory Management: Oversee day-to-day laboratory operations, ensuring the efficient use of resources, instrument maintenance, and staff management.

ISO 17025 Compliance: Maintain and enhance our ISO 17025 accreditation, including the development and implementation of quality control and quality assurance measures.

Analytical Instrumentation: Manage and operate advanced analytical instruments for cannabis testing, ensuring accurate and reliable results.

Regulatory Compliance: Stay up-to-date with cannabis testing regulations and standards, and ensure the laboratory's compliance with local and state regulations.

Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of laboratory technicians and scientists, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth.

Data Management: Oversee data management, including sample tracking, reporting, and documentation to meet regulatory requirements.

Client Communication: Interact with clients to address their testing needs and ensure clear communication of results.

Qualifications:

• A Bachelor's or Master's degree in a related scientific field (e.g., Chemistry, Biology, Analytical Chemistry).
• Prior experience in a leadership role in an ISO 17025 accredited laboratory.
• Strong knowledge of analytical instruments commonly used in cannabis testing, such as HPLC, GC-MS, and LC-MS.
• In-depth understanding of ISO 17025 standards and quality management systems.
• Familiarity with cannabis testing regulations and compliance requirements.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
• Proven track record of effective team management.
