Labeling Specialist

We are looking for a dynamic Labeling Specialist to join our production team. In this role, you’ll be responsible for working on the assembly line and with table top label machines You will be responsible for ensuring that the labels are being placed on correctly. You’ll also be in charge of inspecting finished products to ensure that the label and code have the correct placement.

You should have meticulous attention to details and be able to spot the smallest imperfections in products.

Responsibilities:

• Operates the label machines properly and efficiently in order to meet production deadlines according to the daily job schedule.
• Minimizes waste or misuse of raw materials.
• Communicates label production issues with the Production Supervisor or the Manager.
• Maintains a daily and weekly schedule of cleaning and maintenance for the machines within the department.
• Ensures labels meet quality and branding requirements
• Performs distribution functions as needed.
• Maintains inventory levels of raw materials within the production areas.
• Keeps an accurate log of raw materials used in the production of labels.
• Logs date and number of cartons of product to maintain an inventory and to identify any quality control problems with raw materials.
• Uses MRP system to log each job accurately and correctly to record time and materials for each job.
• Ensures all products is label accurately
• Ensures all products are packaged accurate
• Ensures all products meet visual standards prior to shipping, as the final step in the quality control process, ensuring that lids are tightened, and labels correctly applied.
• Assist with other areas of Production as needed to include working on the filling lines, making boxes, and daily manufacturing support needs.
• Communicate product and packing supply needs when necessary.
• Ensure all records are completed appropriately
• Ensure that non-conforming material is clearly identified and segregated
• Ensure that the escalation procedure for quality concerns is followed
• Ensure equipment is within calibration date and all systems are functioning correctly
• Clean up after oneself and others during and at the end of each shift, maintaining clean and filled labeling areas.

• Maintains a safe work environment in label areas.
• Additional responsibilities are deemed necessary and reasonable.

• Required to read and write English, follow verbal instructions and use simple math.

Physical Requirements/Working Conditions:

• Regularly required to sit, stand, bend, reach, climb and move about the facility
• Regularly operates a computer, computer accessories and phone equipment
• Required to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
• Occasionally stoops, kneels, reaches and carries

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
