Job Description
Employee is responsible to set up and operate machinery in the production area with minimal supervision according to job ticket/ work order. Must be able to inspect the quality of materials and work in process as well as accurately complete associated paperwork. Must lead other employees in the production area by example of attitude, work quality, work ethic, dependability, and company loyalty.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
- Primary responsible for set-up, run, cleaning and general maintenance of either Digital HP or Delta, Rotoflex, die cutters, rewinding tables.
- Lead other production workers to meet quality and productivity expectations.
- Verify that custom approved proof and job ticket meets the printing or die cutting requirements before production run.
- Set up complex machines according to job tickets within the defined setup times.
- Inspect the quality of materials and work in process, specifically focusing on quality standards by checking registration for debris and print quality.
- Troubleshoot and resolve machine related issues including: pressure, registration, tension and settings.
- Accurately process and handle associated paperwork as required for work being completed.
- Complete work in a timely manner according to changing schedules.
- Operate machines fluently with a minimal amount of supervision.
- Lead the employees of the manufacturing area by example in the areas of attitude, work quality, work ethic, dependability, and company loyalty.
- Communicate and work together with other departments as required
- Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned as required.
Experience and Skills
High school diploma or equivalent; verified experience (one or more years) of working with and around complex machinery.
Qualifications
- Mechanical aptitude.
- Experience using measuring devices including rulers and calipers.
- Must be able to communicate in English: read, write and understand.
- Able to work smart and at a brisk and safe pace.
- Able to communicate and work with others as a team.

- Strong attention to detail.
- Able to read understand job tickets, production envelopes.

Job requires the employee to stand, walk, bend over, twist or sit frequently. The employee is frequently required to use hands to grasp, finger or handle objects and reach with hands.
The employee is frequently required to talk and hear. The employee must occasionally lift / exert force from 5 to 70 pounds and push / pull to 300 pounds with assistance of pallet jack. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and color determination.
Work Environment
Majority of time is spent setting up printing equipment, running machinery, maintaining inks, and continuously inspecting print. This work is done in production area and the environment is very loud with strong ink and UV smells.
