Job Description
A client of Aegis is seeking a Lab Technician to join their team. This position is contract to hire (temporary employment for 6 months and then hired on full time with the client) The ideal candidate has the following:
- 0-2 years of experience
- Associate’s/Bachelor’s Degree
- Preference in Food Science, Chemistry would be next best.
- Experience working in a Laboratory based setting at least in an internship or professional position.
- Experience with analytical tools – running experiments, recording data, and making informed decisions based on the data.
- Food/CPG Industry knowledge – preference would be working for an ingredient manufacturer but any food could work.
Plus's:
- Knowledge of the following: Texture analyzers (stretch/compresses), Rheometer (measures strain/stress on materials), moisture analyzers, DSC (differential scanning calorimetry, measures heat absorption), PH Meter. Texture Analyzers and Rheometer are two MOST common used at NF!
- Understanding of emulsification applications
- Knowledge of the fermentation process
- Startup experience
