Position Summary:
This position is responsible for analyzing routine and non-routine samples. The ideal candidate will have a working knowledge of laboratory testing, policies, and procedures. This position is on a twelve-hour shift.
Education Requirement:
- High school diploma or GED; without prior experience two years of college Chemistry
Experience Requirement:
- Three years minimum experience in a petroleum or chemical laboratory without two years of college Chemistry; Gas Chromatography skills a plus
Major Accountabilities:
- Conducts sampling on petroleum, by products and water samples following ASTM, UOP, EPA and other standard test procedures.
- Reports completed test results to the appropriate department and record results.
- Collects product samples as required.
- Responsible for safe and proper disposal of excess samples and containers.
- Maintains adequate inventory of chemicals and glassware.
- Responsible for participating in safety meetings, safety programs, safety audits, VPP inspections, and job safety analysis.

- Must be able to work a rotating twelve-hour shift including extended hours, weekends, holidays and overtime.
