FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Salary: $20-25
Job Summary: The Substrate Preparation/Cleaning Technician will prepare and clean substrate materials for thin film coating applications.
Supervisory Responsibilities: None
Duties:
- Utilizes procedures, processes, and materials to clean and prepare substrate materials for thin film coating applications at direction of supervisor.
- Performs cleaning and preparation of substrate materials with perfect precision in a timely manner to meet production schedule requirements.
- Assists in determining cause and corrective actions for non-conformities of materials.
- Assists in design, development, and documentation of complex cleaning, coating and inspection procedures in collaboration with other departments and/or colleagues.
- Assists with Corrective Action Plan/Preventative Action as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation.
- Follows all procedural guidelines and instructions and applies good judgement to safeguard equipment and materials.
- Documents all work and maintains daily log.
- Exhibits company values of commitment to quality and high performance.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Knowledge of Substrate Preparation for thin film applications
- Cleanroom lab experience preferred
- Experience with lab equipment for precise viewing and measurement
- Excellent time management and organization skills
- Attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Able to meet deadlines and adapt to changing priorities
- Must be authorized to work in the United States as a “US person”
- Education and Experience:
- Related technical/mechanical/laboratory experience preferred
- High School or equivalent preferred
Physical requirements:
- Position is primarily sedentary.
- Must be able to lift 25 lbs.
- Requires use of laboratory equipment to handle small objects and view microscopic detail.
