Lab Associate or Pharma “Manufacturing Associate”
Location: Novato, CA (100% On-Site) Currently Interviewing for - May 15th or June 12 Start Date
Pay Rate: $28.00-$32.20/HR (Annual of $69k-89k depending on shift)
1-year w-2 contract role (Strong potential to extend or convert to FTE)
Our client, a global leader in biotechnology and innovation of therapies for rare genetic diseases and life-threatening conditions is seeking wet lab manufacturing associates to work in a close-knit team-based setting. In teams of 8-10, you will conduct the wet lab work that goes into gene therapy production. This role is exactly what they do in the research facilities, just on a much higher volume/ scale!
Employment is full-time with benefits through TPS Group (Medical, Dental, Vision, and 401k), after 1-year, there is a strong potential to convert to employment under the client's benefits, etc., and move to management/different departments.
Job Duties:
Learn biopharmaceutical manufacturing processes including mammalian cell culture, depth filtration, tangential flow filtration, column chromatography, protein purification, and formulation of bulk drug substances.
Gain experience with automation systems (LIMS, MES, PI, etc.)
Work with PCR, Gel Electrophoresis, and Western Blot Techniques
Education & Experience:
Must have the first covid-19 vaccination.
Bachelor of Science degree in Biology, Biochemistry, Chemistry, Biotechnology, Molecular Biology, or degree that had lab requirements OR
Associate degree in a science-related area or Biotech certificate with 2+ years of experience in a Biotech manufacturing environment or other regulated industry
PCR experience is a plus.
Prior undergrad experience in a lab or research setting is a plus.
