Lab Technician 2
Duration: 12 months
Bill Rate: 24.60
20-30 week- Flexible (6-7 hours at a time- some part days are ok)
N95 testing IS REQUIRED
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The individual will be working in an industry lab setting, namely, Oral Care Product Development. The candidate's main responsibility will be the production of lab batches for toothpaste on a daily basis, the running of in-vitro assays, the creation of stability protocols in LabNet and the organization and tracking of samples for testing and aging analysis. The candidate will support other lab personnel with the functional testing of products as required per protocols. Additionally, proper documentation of work and results are very important.
Description of major functions/competencies:
-Individual must have excellent organizational skills.
-Individual must be detail oriented to perform and follow industry/SOP protocol lab (5kg) and pilot plant (400 kg) batches, monitor stability and aging, and occasionally conduct in-vitro testing of products.
- Individual must have above average industry laboratory skills according to GMP guidelines.
- Individual must have strong computer skills and capability to learn CP computer programs.
- Individual must be able to interact with CP internal support groups (Analytical, Fragrance Technology, etc.).
Minimum Education Required:
Bachelor's degree in Chemistry is strongly preferred, but other science degree backgrounds are acceptable. Associate degree candidates may be considered if they display strong industry experience.
Other Required Experience/Qualifications:
Computer skills - Microsoft/Google office- Required to be proficient with Excel and Power Point. Experience with Colgate-Palmolive's LabNet is a plus.
Above average Industry laboratory skills is preferred
Prior experience working with FDA regulated products / stability is desirable.
