Job Description
Responsibilities:
The role will be on-site in Millsboro, DE in support of the QC team within the Environmental Monitoring Laboratory. The candidate will report to the Millsboro QC Manager and will interact with QC laboratory technicians as well as Project Managers surrounding LIMS (Laboratory Information Management System). This role will be a hybrid of benchtop laboratory work surrounding reading, identifying and recording of EM data in the laboratory as well as integrating additional laboratory tests within LIMS.
Qualifications:
Education: Minimum of a High School Diploma required. BA/BS preferred.

- Conduct troubleshooting of test methods, with the ability to evaluate and implement new procedures
- Maintain and evaluate the sequential analysis of the testing standards used in the area of the assignment
- Responsible for the entry of test results in the QC tracking system and the cross-check of records
- Clean work areas including floors, walls, tables, etc.
- Equipment set-up and operations
- Concurrent record keeping including charts, log books, and all pertinent documentation
- Report all unusual, non-routing occurrences when performing tasks
- Complete advanced mathematical calculations, conversions and formulations
- Technicians may be responsible for accumulation, labeling and management of hazardous, universal and/or infectious wastes
- Participation in project teams and/or complete design of special projects
- Rabies vaccination required and will be administered onsite.
- Lifting requirements of 15lbs-20lbs.
Preferred Skills:
- Basic benchtop laboratory skills
- Pipetting
- Microscope usage experience
- Aseptic techniques
- Experience reading environmental monitoring plates
- Previous compliance experience
- Environmental Monitoring or QC experience
- LIMS experience
- Local candidates preferred.
