Lab Operator - Job Description
Plastics Forming Enterprises is an independent plastic testing facility. We work with virgin and post-consumer resins, labels, adhesives to inform brand owners of any issues of their recycling polymers and/or products. The plastics recycling industry has recently taken precedence causing our lab to be more in demand. Due to growth in the industry, we are seeking a hands-on type of personality.
A Lab Operator at PFE is expected to be working in the Lab section of the business with minimal crossover to the processing side. Lab operators are responsible for producing the analytical data from materials received or processed through PFE’s backroom.
Confidentiality is extremely important when working on our project.
Lab Operator Objectives
Processing
- General ability to operate lab equipment focused on Physical, Mechanical, and Thermal Property Testing for flexible and rigid materials
- Verify testing data to properly identify outliers within the data
- Input data daily and navigate data collection system
- Daily care of the equipment with preventative maintenance and cleaning procedures
- Report to management on the performance of the management system
