The Life Sciences Technical Services team is looking for a test engineer to join our team! The ideal candidate will play a key role in the development, refinement, and release of exciting, differentiated technologies to position us as a market leader in our target markets. Key responsibilities and qualifications to be a success in this role are listed below.
Role Responsibilities:
- Assist in onboarding, operation, and standardization and of laboratory test equipment and test procedures.
- Provide recommendations and insights from testing using sound engineering judgement to guide product development efforts
- Create and execute DOE's (Design of Experiments) to assist product development and application engineering groups.
- Create and execute MSA's (measurement study analysis) and Gage R&R's (Gage repeatability and reproducibility) studies on test methods.
- Create standard test report templates.
- Create new test protocols as necessary and maintain accurate details of test records.
- Create new test stands as necessary.
- Mechanically inclined and able to put together prototype test setups as needed
- Work on multiple projects and prioritize in support of project team
- Be able to work in a team environment or independently.
- Work with a global team of engineers and industry experts
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering/Science/Manufacturing/Chemistry. Relevant experience could substitute for formal education
- Organized
- Basic knowledge of lab environment and safety practices
- Eagerness to get hands dirty in the lab
- Willingness to learn
Preferred Qualifications:
- Eager to learn and develop new skills
- Experience in the Automotive and/or Biomedical industries
- Experience in Power Bi, Power Apps, Sharepoint, Teamcenter, and Minitab
- Good interpersonal and communications skills
- Comfortable using hand tools and power tools
- Good at documentation and formatting in Excel, Word, PowerPoint
- Knowledge of test and measurement equipment
- Previous experience in a lab setting/pilot process.
- Mad points if you have created your own DOE (design of experiment) before
