KYC Retail Banking Specialist
Location: Phoenix, AZ 85040 (Must be local - will work from home and report to office occasionally)

Client-facing role accountable for all client outreach related to Know Your Customer “KYC” information to satisfy regulatory requirements. This individual will manage a portfolio of clients, managing all client outreach for KYC tasks and work under the supervision of the KYC Manager.

Client-facing role accountable for all client outreach related to Know Your Customer “KYC” information to satisfy regulatory requirements. This individual will manage a portfolio of clients, managing all client outreach for KYC tasks and work under the supervision of the KYC Manager.
Responsibilities:
- Gathers KYC information required to onboard new clients and new entities.
- Communicates to clients KYC requirements.
- Performs updates on entity profiles on a continuous basis to adhere to sustained compliance with laws and regulations.
- Serves as escalation point for internal teams and clients to resolve outstanding KYC questions & inquiries.
- Performs consistent client follow-up and communication on KYC tasks to ensure any outstanding obligations are completed and satisfied within designated timeframes.
- Tracks receipt of required data and/or documents; reviews received data / documents to ensure information shared meets regulatory requirements.
- Reviews client information received and decisions if data and/or documentation satisfies KYC requirements.
- Determines client outreach approach with the intent to minimize multiple client touch points while ensuring adherence to bank and regulatory deadlines.
- Demonstrates baseline knowledge of KYC and financial crimes risks and the prevention and mitigation processes and controls.
- Good understanding of customer due diligence (CDD) regulatory requirements that apply to the financial services sector and banking operations.
- Minimum of 2 years banking, risk management, compliance, or client service experience.
- Ability to work independently, take initiative and strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Good time management and attention to detail.
- Good analytical, research, organizational, and project management skills.
- Strong individual contributor with the ability to work effectively as a team.
- Flexibility in learning new topics, adapting to change, and meeting targeted deadlines.
