Job Summary: As a Multimedia Journalist you will shoot, write, edit, and perform on-air presentation of news, entertainment, community, weather, and sports stories. You will work mostly independently, occasionally with a photojournalist.
Job Responsibilities:
- Write news copy and travel to news scene to cover stories as needed. Maintain awareness of current events.
- Use social media as part of daily story telling.
- Communicate with Assignment Desk throughout the day.
- Understand and use pre-production.
- Record sound and pictures on video for broadcasts, displaying awareness of the elements of good photojournalism.
- Employ keen lighting skills and perform independent live shots while effectively using equipment for live shots.
- Adhere to newsroom policies and procedures for video, scripts, and deadlines.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned, including driving automobile for company business.
Job Schedule: This is a Full-Time position work rotating shifts and 24 hours on call availability. Must be able to work extended schedules. Travel without advance notice possible.

Skills and Requirements:
- Two years of progressively responsible experience in a television newsroom as an on-air reporter and one year of news video-journalism experience preferred.
- BS degree in Journalism, Communications, or related field.
- Link of work sample required.
- Knowledge of Journalistic standards necessary and ability to perform appropriately on camera.
- Accurate and comprehensive writing, shooting, and editing skills as well as good communication skills.
- A basic understanding of news production for multiple platforms.
- Experience in the field is essential.
- Must be self-sufficient enough to set up and research stories with limited guidance.
- Must have, or be able to obtain, a valid Oklahoma driver's license and have a driving record acceptable to the company.
