Job Purpose
Reporting to the Manager of Knowledge Solutions, the primary purpose of the Knowledge Management Specialist is to provide support in the execution of organization's knowledge sharing solutions and platforms. This role will be responsible for product/solution ownership as well as communication and promotion activities that help to improve organizational effectiveness, accelerate time to competency and improve business execution.
Job Description
  • Support knowledge management, learning and social learning for the company, acting as an internal consultant to provide knowledge sharing solutions and strategies, working directly with assigned business units to identify their dynamic knowledge content needs.
  • Act as the Product Manager for Experts Explain
  • Act as the Product Manager for our facilitation tool, xLeap.
  • Work with internal clients to generate surveys through Survey Monkey and Microsoft Forms.
  • Act as the Knowledge Management Communications lead, working with the Knowledge Management and Communications team to schedule and push out internal communications using our existing Knowledge Management platforms.
  • Contribute to the growth and adoption of the enterprise wiki.
  • Support the creation of blended learning and Knowledge Management solutions.
  • Work with Knowledge Management team members to support the knowledge needs for communities of practice (networks).
  • Be a champion and advocate for knowledge management, facilitation, collaboration and learning to drive further understanding of the value across the organization.

You are meant for this job if:
  • Bachelor's degree in Knowledge Management, Education, English, Journalism, Public Relations, Library Sciences, Marketing, Communications, Engineering, Information Technology.
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in a variety of business roles, including at least 3 years of experience in knowledge management or learning. (Experience with knowledge management or learning as a portion of a previous job will be considered; i.e., someone in a different department who utilizes KM and/or learning for their business needs and evangelizes the use of the platforms and strategies to others.)
  • The ability to lead multiple projects with competing priorities globally.
  • Competency and experience with a variety of knowledge management, social learning and crowd-sourcing platforms and technologies and the best practices that inform strategies for their use.
  • A demonstrated history of translating strategic and tactical business needs into tangible KM, social learning, collaboration or communications solutions.
  • Experience with delivering training, good facilitation skills, ability to draw out knowledge via interviews and willingness to learn podcasting.
  • Experience with collaboration processes and a proven ability to apply knowledge management principles in practice.
  • Experience with graphic design and multimedia platforms and the ability to create and edit videos, photos, presentations, web pages and other digital assets.
  • Experience working in a business with customer interaction (internal or external).
  • Proven successes in building and leveraging relationships to positively impact results.
  • Experience with the Office 365 suite of solutions.
