SalaryWe are seeking a full time or part time evening and/or weekend Cook to join us at Canyons BBQ! We are looking for a friendly individual with a good work ethic and the ability to work in fast-paced environment that involves multi tasking. Our team members average $8.50 per hour in tips. With a starting hourly rate of $18.00, that is a total starting at $26.50 per hour to do a job you can enjoy!
The Cook is responsible for ensuring that company standards are being met in the back of house areas of our restaurant, but will also be able to engage with our guests in the front of house. They will prepare meals in a timely manner to help create an exceptional experience for our guests.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and plate food according to our menu specifications and ticket orders
- Ensure freshness and quality of ingredients
- Wash dishes, glassware, silverware, and cookware
- Ensure that kitchen items remained stocked throughout the shift
- Follow company food safety and sanitation policies and procedures
- Maintain organization, cleanliness, and sanitation of work areas
- Deliver food and beverages in a timely manner
- Provide excellent customer service
- Ensure total cleanliness and smooth operation of the restaurant
- Perform other related duties and tasks as assigned
Position Requirements:
- Strong attention to detail
- Able to nights, and/or weekends and holidays
- Able to use knives and kitchen equipment
- Able to thrive in a fast paced environment
- Able to work well in a team environment
- Able to walk or stand for long periods
- Prior restaurant experience is preferred.
