The our Kitchen Team Members are responsible for knowledge in the specification of products, recipes, presentation, and execution of quality service and food, as put forth by Bent Inn & Pub ownership and management team. Duties also include maintaining cleanliness, organization, sanitation, and safety of all kitchen areas. They must be able to multi-task well and work well under pressure, performing duties both behind the line and in the kitchen area where needed.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of safety, sanitation, and accident prevention principles
- Minimum 1 year of experience working as a line cook; cooking, prepping, and clean-up.
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Must have or be able to obtain a Food Handler Safety Card
- Understand kitchen equipment and its standard usage, with the ability to Ability to use knives proficiently
- Must be able to stand, stoop, lift and bend for eight hours
- Must be able to lift and carry a minimum of 50lbs
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays in addition to normal business
Responsibilities
- Consistently prepare, cook, plate and finish all food items according to Bent Inn & Pub procedures and standards
- Comply with all food safety requirements such as checking and maintaining temperature, dating and labeling products, rotating products, etc…
- Maintain a clean and sanitary work station, kitchen, refrigerators, and storage areas
- Assists the Kitchen Manager with any tasks requested while working at an efficient pace to keep up with business needs
- Employee may perform other related duties as assigned to meet the ongoing needs of the organization
