Kitchen Supervisor- Confections
Confection Kitchen Supervisor works to ensure that all edible products meet all the quality attributes of safety, efficacy, potency and purity that is required by customers and regulatory agencies, along with maintaining a high level of excellency in product manufacturing and brand representation. The Edible Kitchen Supervisor is responsible for maintaining productivity of the department while keeping a flexible department to rapidly switch projects to meet needs and completing all necessary paperwork.
Education & Experience
- HS diploma or GED
- 2+ years kitchen experience required.
- Previous food manufacturing experience preferred.
- Team leadership experience preferred.
Skills, Abilities & Essential Duties:
- Managing the departments confection Cooks hours, team dynamics and performance.
- Schedule the department to maintain production output.
- Inventory assessment, and reporting.
- Regular use of computer software and programs such as Metrc, Office, Outlook, Excel, etc.
- Maintain food safe, clean environment at all times.
- Work with Operations team and Production Manager to steer weekly department direction and production priorities.
- Help creating training systems and implementing them for Kitchen employees.
- Maintaining department SOP’s, Log’s, and associated Forms/Documents.
- Working closely with the COO, Production Manager, Inbound Purchasing Agent, Packaging department, marketing and Compliance Officer to ensure continued production.
- Solid understanding of Inventory and Sales computer programs and all associated tasks, data entry, and data gathering.
- Maintains routine programs and processes to ensure high quality product and compliance with current GMPs.
- Log appropriate data relating to current product batch in physical log book and Microsoft Office Platforms.
- Other duties as assigned.
