Kitchen Production Technician

FSLA Status: Non-Exempt

Reports to: Jr Sous Chef/Executive Sous Chef

Supervisory Responsibility: None

Position Summary:

The Production Technicianis responsible for ensuring the production, quality and tracking of the NSM candy lines, adherence to production schedules and, ensuring proper kitchen levels are maintained.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Follow department standard operating procedures.

Set up the depositing machine and weigh out the shift batches at start of every shift.

Ensure proper methods and counts are held up.

Communicate with team members on the drying and coating times of the product.

Execute closing duties and finish as a team.

Ensure the machines are fully set up for the next shift.

Works respectfully and collectively with other NSM team members.

Follows all safety regulations.

Ensures consistent quality.

Ensures an overall positive, safe, and clean environment.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

Prolonged periods of standing.

Must be able to lift 50 pounds at times.

• Exposure to fertilizer, dusts, odors, allergens, pollen, and other environmental variables.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work: This is a full-time position, and hours of work and days will vary.

Travel: Travel is primarily local during the business day, although some out-of-the-area and overnight travel may be expected.

Must be at least 21 years of age and authorized to work in the US.

Must be willing to work 7 days a week if necessary, and to be flexible with schedule.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.

Preferred Qualifications:

Laborer industry experience preferred but not required.
