Job Overview:

As the Operations Lead - Kitchen, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the efficiency and effectiveness of our Kitchen Operations. You will be responsible for waste management, team coaching and development, monitoring labor and team productivity, and ensuring compliance with policies and procedures. Your leadership skills will directly impact the success of our restaurant and contribute to an outstanding customer experience. Leaders are responsible for supervising assigned stations for an entire shift and may be assigned to open or close the restaurant in the absence of a manager; following established opening and closing procedures.

Job Duties:

Waste Management: Oversee waste reduction strategies, ensuring proper disposal and recycling practices are followed in the kitchen to minimize environmental impact.

Coaching and Developing Team: Mentor and guide kitchen staff, providing constructive feedback, and facilitating their professional growth through training and development opportunities.

Monitor Labor & Team Productivity: Regularly assess staffing levels and delegate tasks efficiently to optimize productivity while maintaining high-quality food standards.

Accountability Enforcement: Enforce company policies and procedures by consistently monitoring team adherence and addressing any deviations to ensure a safe and compliant working environment.

Operational Excellence: Collaborate with other department leads to maintain seamless operational flow, address challenges, and contribute to overall restaurant success.

Quality Control: Ensure food quality, safety, and consistency by conducting routine checks and maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment.

Problem Solving: Proactively identify operational issues, brainstorm solutions, and implement process improvements to enhance overall kitchen efficiency.

Qualifications:

• Previous leadership experience in a fast-paced kitchen environment is preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
• A proactive and hands-on approach to problem-solving.
• Ability to inspire and motivate a team to achieve operational goals.
• Knowledge of food safety regulations and sanitation practices.
• High school diploma or equivalent; culinary or hospitality education is a plus.
