Kitchen Helper

CHEER is looking to hire a Part Time Kitchen Helper at our Long Neck, Delaware CHEER Community Center!

Location: Long Neck, DE

Duties of the position include:

• Fills individual serving cartons with portions of various foods and condiments such as cream, jams and sauces.
• Serves salads, vegetables, meat and breads; ladles soup and sauces; portions desserts; and fills beverage cups and glasses as indicated.
• Replenishes foods at serving stations.
• Brews coffee and tea.
• Operates heat seal machine.
• Monitor food temperatures using thermometers.
• Transfers supplies and equipment between storage and work areas.
• Maintains cleanliness of work stations. Washes dishes and workables, walls, refrigerators and meat blocks.
• Segregates and removes trash and places it in designated containers.
• Scrubs and polishes counters, steam tables and other equipment.
• Stocks supply room with supplies and food.
• Labels packaging for distribution to homebound seniors.

Requirements:

• Ability to lift 10 pounds, occasionally lift 50 pounds.
• Minimum two years kitchen experience.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Knowledge of and ability to safely operate in a kitchen setting using kitchen equipment.
• Must have a valid driver's license.

This is a Part Time, Non-Exempt, position, Monday Through Friday from 7:30am to 1:30pm

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From $14.00 per hour

Schedule:

• Day shift
• Monday to Friday

• Millsboro, DE 19966: Relocate before starting work (Required)
