Junior Kitchen Designer / Sales
Reports To: The Junior Kitchen Designer / Sales will report to the CEO.
Job Overview: Entry-level Kitchen Designer who has a design background, engineering precision, and sales experience. The Junior Kitchen Designer / Sales will be responsible for carrying out the duties of the Design and Sales department, including kitchen, bathroom, and furniture sales, design, taking measurements, floor planning, photorealistic rendering, customer and vendor communication, project coordination, and estimating. The successful candidate will report directly to the Principal Designer and Sales Manager and collaborate with design/purchasing and shop/assembly teams on design projects. Responsibilities and Duties:
- Handling medium design projects from concept to finality.
- Assist with complex design projects from concept to finality.
- Handle the entire design and sales process including, site measuring, client meetings, cabinetry design, conceptual drafting, product selection, and preparation of estimates/proposals.
- Perform the ordering process including, cabinetry order, material purchase orders.
- Actively managing client budgets, schedules, communication with all parties involved and documentation.
- Coordinate and/or assist with directing the installation and scheduling of cabinetry, appliances and countertops.
Qualifications:
- Associates degree in interior design, interior architecture, space-planning or related.
- 1+ years’ experience working in kitchen design, interior design or construction.
- 1+ years sales experience.
- Experience with Auto CAD and Sketchup (3D Modeling and Free shape).
- Must possess excellent communication skills and demonstrate a high level of diplomacy when dealing with clients, vendors and staff.
- Able to work well independently, anticipate questions and develop solutions.
- Must be extremely organized and detail-oriented.
- Exercise discretion with confidential client and business information.
- Ability to travel within Florida and North Carolina.
- Must be experienced with mill work and appliance specs.
- Experience with detailing a floor plan.
- Experience with detailing elevations.
- Construction and/or field experience.
- Experience with mill work and appliance specs.
- Knowledge of European kitchen design and metric system.
- Ability to put together a full set of construction documents for a residence.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $45,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
