Do you have a passion for design and would like to pursue a kitchen and bath design career? Then you may be exactly who we need to join our Kitchen Designer team! Applicants must have kitchen design and software experience from an interior design program. You should also be proficient in design software, either in a kitchen-specific program or computer-aided design tool. We would prefer experience in 20/20 CAD kitchen and bath software, but will work with teaching a new system. Familiarity with cabinet making and plumbing is also beneficial. Our ideal candidate has excellent communication and customer service skills, a creative eye, and can meet deadlines.
Day to Day Tasks:
Occasionally visit client homes and take room measurements
Meeting with clients to ascertain the intended functions and appearance of each space.
Anticipating and informing clients of additional features which may be of use to them.
Suggesting appropriate materials and finishes.
Create designs using 20/20 Computer Aided Design software
Contact vendors to obtain specific materials and furniture
Produce quotes for customers to show the total cost of the kitchen or bathroom based on the client's budget.
Work as part of a wider team to meet sales targets
Provide excellent customer service
Keeping a record of hours and activities completed to ensure that clients are billed accurately
Review and amend quotes
Work Environment: Offices/desk area
Design sites for measurement. Flexible work schedules are required to meet with clients.
Job Responsibilities:
Once you start a project, you'll need to listen to our clients wants and needs and coordinate with them to ensure that their project remains within budget. You would also be responsible for working with building contractors, electricians, painters, plumbers, and other professionals to get your job done. After the initial basic design takes place and if it is requested by the client, you could also suggest particular kitchen accessories, such as tables, dishware, glassware, serving pieces, and decorations that you think will match a client's aesthetic taste.
To be successful as a kitchen designer, you should be an expert multitasker with a knack for outstanding customer service. Invariably, a top-notch kitchen designer will demonstrate initiative within the confines of clients' wishes.

Pay: $40,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
