Summary: Skills Training and Development (STAD) Support Staff are paraprofessional-level employees who provide support to the STAD Group Leader. They help implement interventions in a therapeutic group setting for youth and adolescents who have impairments in several functional domains. Support Staff ensures client focus, safety, security, and success.
Essential Duties:
· Assist the Group Leaders by setting up supplies for interventions on the curriculum provided.
· Follow intervention curricula and treatment plans/goals to support the Group Leader.
· Follow Safety and Behavioral Plans as outlined to support the Group Leader.
· Provide supervision to the youth in the group.
· Promote client accountability, independence, and self-responsibility.
· Use appropriate communication and model positive behaviors for the child.
· Assist and provide input into the development, evaluation, and updating of youth Treatment Plans.
· Consistently meet all required weekly deadlines, such as completing data sheets and time sheets daily.
· Be aware of and implement new processes, procedures, and policies.
· Communicate regularly with STAD Supervisor and other staff as needed.
· Represent the company as courteous, professional, and ethical representatives.
· Report suspected abuse to supervisor and state agencies as required.
· Contact supervisor as needed for support.
· Ensure that personal transportation is functional and insured.
· Participate in staff training and weekly meetings.
Qualifications Required:
· Must be 18 or older.
· Must have current CPR/First Aid certification.
· Successfully pass the Idaho Department of Health and Welfare background check
Education Required: High School Diploma or equivalent
