- Position will start ASAP with 30-40 hours/week Monday – Friday for the current school year and into our summer program.
- High school graduate or equivalent
- Completion of some college level or education courses strongly preferred
- Experience working with children
- Current CPR & First Aid certification (or ability to obtain if hired – training provided)
- Demonstrated success of experience working with children, families, planning, organizing, and promoting programs.
- Based on education and experience
- Ability to keep a group of children safe in a variety of program spaces
- Maintenance of attendance and counts for a group of children
- Active engagement with children in all activities during program hours
- A patient, warm, understanding and receptive attitude towards all children
- Ability to implement behavior modification in cooperation with program policies
- Ability to initiate and lead a group of children in a project, gym game, through challenging social situations, etc.
- Setting up and putting away games, equipment, and supplies according to the schedule or as directed by the Kids Club Coordinator
- Implementation of program policies and procedures
- Keeping program and storage areas clean and orderly
- Regular sanitizing of toys and equipment
- Other duties as assigned by the Kids Club Coordinator
