WANTED: KEY ACCOUNT SALES REPRESENTATIVE – HOWLER HEAD WHISKEY

TERRITORY: TALLAHASSEE, JACKSONVILLE, GAINESVILLE, FLORIDA AREA

Summary:

Whiskey is one of the hottest spirits categories and biggest growth drivers in beverage alcohol. Howler Head is an award-winning, 80 proof, fast growing banana flavored Kentucky Straight Bourbon that is looking for a self-motivated and adventurous Key Account Sales Representative who is committed to responsibly driving demand for the brand with consumers, bartenders, account owners, and brand partners.

Additional and important background is that Howler Head is vested closely with the UFC (Ultimate Fighting Championship) and activates readily across the UFC ecosystem. The UFC is broadcast on ESPN + weekly and with over 5k on premise accounts that buy into these PPV fights providing a steady point of authentic representation and promotion for the Howler Head brand.

Guroux Marketing Group is looking for a self-motivated Key Account Sales Representative for the Metro markets of Tallahassee, Jacksonville and Gainesville to drive brand advocacy leveraging multiple tactical sales tools that can be applied regionally in each of these thriving cities. The ideal candidate has their finger on the pulse of what is happening on the ground in these metro markets and acts as the “face” of the brand. Intellectual hub (I-HUB) activation for 21+ consumers will be a key facet of the role.

SALARY: $60k plus a 10% yearend performance bonus. Full benefits. NO RELOCATION PACKAGE.

The Key Account Sales Representative will be a center piece of the overall brand growth strategy conducting various in-market responsibilities, including:

Responsibilities

· Owning performance for a set of Key Accounts across your market – leveraging HH tools and programs to grow rates of sale (ROS) and points of distribution (PODs) in this universe. (Ex. sampling/tastings, POS, activation, etc.). Huge performance focus placed on securing bar menu placements and drink features in on premise accounts.

  • Working closely with existing Howler Head Sales Director to identify opportunities, account needs, competitive activity, etc. while maintaining fiscal accountability to a designated budget along with measurable, time bound reporting as designated by Howler Head stakeholders.
  • Leading with Howler Head’s unique authenticity and purpose in experiential events and on-premise activations. Capturing compelling social media content during these consumer opportunities.

· Understanding and complying with all local and state legal requirements for the industry and brand.

· Supporting distributor performance via education and onsite trainings (“ride-withs”, staff trainings, etc.).

· Liaising between Howler Head Sales Director, the Howler Head Marketing Team, and the designated sales region to ensure continuity, accountability, critical feedback, and clear lines of communication.

· Creating deepening and amplifying important influencer relationships to serve as recruitment advocates.

· Exploring new opportunities in the on/off/non-premise, including coordinating and hosting special events.

Experience

· 2+ years Consumer Package Goods (CPG) Sales Experience or equivalent lifestyle sales

· Beverage Alcohol Sales Experience a plus

· Proven training ability, persuasive selling skills, and passion for the drinks business with respect to customers and consumers

· Effective informal relationships across multiple industries within metro lifestyle sectors including multi-cultural

· High School diploma or GED/College degree preferred

· Must be 21 or over and have documentation showing you are legally able to drive

Capabilities

· Strong public speaking; ability to “think on their feet”

· Operates proactively – and where necessary reactively – in order to beat the competition

· Strong face of the brand in the region: in attitude, appearance, and personality

· Relationship management and influencing skills with external and internal stakeholders

· Ability to develop strong relationships with trade partners

· Must be able to lift equipment and supplies up to 50lbs in weight

· Must be very reliable, dependable, organized, and able to work independently with minimal supervision

· Must have time management, persuasion, organization, coordination, listening, and social perceptiveness skills

· Must be available to travel. Must also be able to work varying shifts on weekends and/or holidays (days, afternoons, and nights)

· Knowledge of MS Office and Google App programs and proficient with using a computer
