SalaryThe Humane Society of Parkersburg is seeking a full-time Kennel Technician to join our team! Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to, routinely cleaning kennels, administering medications and vaccinations, identifying and working to train particular negative behaviors, working with potential adopters and proactively working with animals to increase adoptability. May be cross-trained in all areas of the shelter to assist or fill in when needed.
Previous animal experience preferred, confident in handling all animals, must be able to lift 50 pounds and be able to restrain large animals (100+ pounds.) Must believe in the mission of the Humane Society of Parkersburg. In addition to these qualifications, you must be organized, proactive in your daily duties, be a positive team player and willing to learn. Must be able to work Monday – Friday, a variation of eight hour shifts between the hours 7:00 am-5:30pm. Weekend work is also required. Starting pay is $10 per hour.
