Kennel Technician

Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Kennel Technician to join our team. As a Kennel Technician, you will be responsible for providing exceptional care and support to our furry friends. Responsibilities:
- Provide daily care for animals including feeding, watering, and administering medications as directed
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of kennels, ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for the animals
- Monitor the behavior and health of animals, reporting any concerns or changes to the appropriate staff
- Assist with animal restraint during examinations, treatments, or procedures
- Walk dogs and provide exercise and socialization opportunities
- Clean and sanitize equipment, toys, and bedding regularly
- Assist with grooming tasks such as bathing and brushing
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing client inquiries and concerns in a professional manner

Experience:
- Previous experience in pet sitting, pet care, or animal handling is preferred
- Knowledge of basic animal behavior and ability to recognize signs of distress or illness
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients
- Ability to handle dogs of all sizes and temperaments safely and confidently
- Comfortable with heavy lifting (up to 50 pounds) as some animals may require assistance
- Familiarity with veterinary terminology and procedures is a plus
- Experience in dog training or obedience is an asset
