Kennel Attendant

Wildwood Animal Hospital is looking for a Kennel Attendant to join our team! We are a multi-doctor small animal hospital that has served the Portland and Gresham communities for 50 years.

This is a part-time role, ideally comprised of Monday – Friday 2pm to closing. We’re offering a competitive hourly rate of $16.00 - $18.00 along with career growth potential and flexible scheduling.

Requirements:

• Preference will be given to candidates with animal-related experience; however, we’re also open to training individuals who love animals and have great customer service skills
• Takes pride in being punctual, dependable, and reliable
• Self-starters who take initiative and pay close attention to detail
• Compassionate team players who have excellent communication skills
• Ability to stand on your feet for extended periods of time
• Must be able to lift at least 40 lbs
• Passion for veterinary medicine

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Animal handling, feeding, and cleaning
• Observation of behaviors, and knowing when to alert a veterinarian or technician about a change in one of the patients
• Chores throughout the hospital such as cleaning, dishes, restocking, garbage, and laundry
• Assisting the medical staff, as needed
