SalaryShepherds K-9 Services is looking to hire Kennel Assistants as we are quickly growing!
Previous dog experience in a professional environment is preferred.
Must be comfortable working with ALL breeds of dogs and temperaments!!
This is a fast-paced environment that requires multi-tasking and can be labor intensive in all weather conditions!
Applicant must also be willing to take direction and to assist trainers when needed and work independently when necessary.
Weekends are a must! Weekend availability is prioritized.
Excellent communication skills, transportation, and a valid driver’s license is required.
Duties include but not limited to the overall husbandry of dogs while at our facility: Feeding, watering, cleaning kennels, scooping poop, walking dogs, bathing dogs, running a pressure washer, mopping, scooping poop, and laundry are just a few.
Did we mention poop? Yes, dealing with poop is a requirement for this position!
Schedule to include day shifts, Monday through Sunday, including holidays.
Operating hours are 8:00am-5:00pm.
Must be willing to be flexible, schedules can and will shift. Possible split shifts of 8:00am-12:00pm and/or 1:00pm-5:00pm.
Part-time positions available!
Compensation begins at $12/hr and based on experience.
