Kennel assistants are primarily responsible for supporting the veterinary assistants in cleaning, including sweeping, mopping, stocking rooms, laundry, and wrapping surgery packs. This is a great starting job for those interested in a career in veterinary medicine and has the potential for growth! Qualifications Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively and efficiently in a fast paced environment.
Models a professional and courteous manner with staff and clients. Must have active listening, critical thinking, complex problem solving, time management, judgment and decision making skills. Commitment to ongoing educational development and growth.
Must be able to handle the physical and emotional aspect of work in a veterinary clinic environment, including euthanasia. Hours/work schedule We are 7 days a week from 8a-8p, with team members expected to work at least one weekend shift. This is a fulltime position that will consist of either 3 12-hour shifts 8a-8p, 4 10-hour shifts 10a-8p, or 5 8-hour shifts 12p-8p, depending on hospital needs.
We are closed all major holidays, so no fighting for time off! PTO - we work around your time off! Benefits Our parent company is NVA, but you would never know!
