Kennel Assistant

Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team as a Kennel Assistant. As a Kennel Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care for our furry friends. This position requires excellent customer service skills, the ability to handle dogs of all sizes, and a passion for animal care.

Duties:
- Provide daily care and attention to dogs in our kennel facility
- Feed, water, and exercise dogs according to their individual needs
- Clean kennels and maintain a clean and sanitary environment
- Administer medications as directed by veterinary staff
- Monitor the health and behavior of dogs, reporting any concerns to management.

Requirements:
- Previous experience in animal care or a related field is preferred. Willing to train for the right fit with less experience.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to interact with pet owners in a professional and friendly manner
- Ability to handle dogs of all sizes and temperaments safely and confidently
- Knowledge of basic animal handling techniques and understanding of dog behavior
- Physical stamina to perform tasks that may require heavy lifting or prolonged periods of standing or walking
- Familiarity with veterinary procedures and terminology is a plus
- Flexibility to work weekends, evenings, and holidays as needed
