Aquatics Director

Principle Responsibilities● Teach aquatics-based merit badges and lessons
● Present in front of group sizes of 2-20 youth and transfer knowledge
● Assist with the set-up, maintenance and take down of program areas
● Turn in advancement paperwork to supervisor in a timely manner
● Participate and exhibit Scout Spirit at camp-wide programs and activities
● Provide First Aid in the event of participant or staff injuries
● Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working area
● Other duties or projects as assigned by SBR leadership
● Abide by policies and procedure outlined in the SBR staff handbook
Qualifications & Training● 18 years of age or older
● Comfortable speaking in front of groups of youth and adults
● Previous boating experience recommended
● Ability to use Microsoft Teams daily for work related communication and coordination
● Be or become a registered member of the Boy Scouts of America
Performance Results● Provide at least one memorable moment that matters to a participant
● Contribute at least one improvement to Aquatics program operations
● Receive one or more Staff Appreciation Cards from staff or participants
● Complete contract period with 2-4 positive experiences
Physical Requirements● Multiple hours a day of either standing, walking, hiking, or paddling and ability to lift 50 lbs.
