Job Title:Kavatender

Reports To:Store Manager/Team Lead

FLSA Status:  Non-Exempt

Hourly Wage: $9-12/hr + gratuities

Summary: Responsible for serving a wide range of quality beverages in a timely manner, tending to customers' needs and expectations, and maintaining a clean work environment.

Hours/Days: 20-35hr/week

Hours of Operation: 8am-1am, 7 days a week

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following: (Other duties may be assigned)

· Responsible for making non-alcohol beverages for customers with quality and consistency, and able to maintain this standard during high-volume hours.

· Expected to stay guest-focused and nurture an excellent guest experience.

· Assess customers’ needs and preferences and make informed recommendations.

· Check customers’ identification and confirm it meets the legal drinking age (18).

· Restock and replenish bar inventory, paper/plastic ware, and bathrooms routinely.

· Comply with all food and beverage regulations

· Able to work independently, without constant supervision in an organized, clean, and efficient manner

· Positive attitude, outgoing and excellent communication skills

· Willing to learn about our unique products and provide quality education for guests

Education and/or Experience

Preferred kava and botanical beverage experience. Excellent communication skills are essential. Must be a team player, customer service oriented, outgoing, friendly, extroverted, motivated and passionate about hospitality and botanical beverages. Proven working experience as a bartender/barista/kavatender or similar is preferred.

Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

Physical activities required on a daily basis will consist of standing and walking for long periods of time. Must be able to lift 30-40 pounds. Must be able to work long hours during the season.

The work environment will entail all beverage outlets. While performing the duties of this job the associate will occasionally work in outside weather conditions (special events). The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

Pay: From $9.00 per hour
