Job description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Strategizes casino promotions and events.
  • Provide required graphics files, footage, bios and other required materials to successfully promote each act both on and off property, on all mediums.
  • Coordinate any outsourcing needed to fulfill specific event requirements.
  • Coordinate the configuration and set-up of the venue(s).
  • Regularly update and inform various departments of event progress and expectations.
  • Coordinate with the IT department to organize entertainment needs.
  • Compiles contracts for review, approval and payment.
  • Greet entertainers and their management upon arrival to ensure exemplary guest service.
  • Settle all outstanding payments or other requirements at the time of the event with the entertainment group.
  • Researches, compiles and prepares data for reports; assists with special projects.
  • Ensure compliance with the Kalispel Tribe of Indians - State of Washington Gaming Compact, Internal Controls, NIGC Regulations, and Kalispel Casino's Policies and Procedures.
  • Available and willing to work any changes in hours deemed necessary for business levels.
  • Responsible for maintaining a consistent, regular good attendance record.
  • May be required to be a panelist for the Internal Review Board Process.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school preferred; and two (2) years related experience and/or training related to entertainment, live events and event ticketing preferred.  An equivalent combination of education and experience may also be considered.
  • Ability to work with entertainers with a high level of professionalism and discretion. 
  • Delivery of outstanding, attentive and friendly service to guests, clients and entertainers.
  • Proficient with computers and standard programs, such as Word and Excel.
  • Ability to handle stress, remain calm and courteous and handle a wide variety of clientele.
  • Ability to maintain effective working relationships with department heads and Team Members.
  • Skill in solving practical problems, exercising good judgment and dealing with situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Work nights, weekends and holidays as required.

Certificates, Licenses, Regulations

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Tribal Work Permit.
  • Valid driver’s license (Must be in possession while operating a Tribal Vehicle).

Physical Demands

  • Requires the ability to lift and/or move objects weighing up to 25 pounds
  • Constantly requires the ability to give and receive detailed information through verbal communication.
  • Constantly requires verbally expressing or exchanging ideas of important instructions accurately, loudly, or quickly.
  • Constantly requires repetitive movement of the wrists, hands and/or fingers.
  • Often requires walking or moving about to accomplish tasks.
  • Occasionally requires standing and/or sitting for sustained periods of time.
  • Occasionally requires ascending or descending stairs or ramps using feet and legs and/or hands and arms.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to tobacco smoke, moving mechanical parts and fumes or airborne particles.  The worker is frequently subject to inside environmental conditions, which provide protection from weather conditions, but not necessarily from temperature changes, and is occasionally subject to outside environmental conditions and to wet and/or humid conditions.  The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

Travel Requrements

Local travel is occasionally required.  Travel outside of the state is infrequently required.  Typical travel time is generally less than a week.
