Owens Educational Services is currently hiring for a full-time Electronic Monitoring (EM) Officer for the Grand Island/Kearney/Hastings area . This is highly responsible professional work providing maximum supervision to juvenile offenders placed on ELECTRONIC MONITORING and referred by Probation. This is a hybrid position working from home but also requires in person contact for installs, removals and responding to alerts as well as for meetings and court hearings. Some hours may be required in the office as well.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Conducts intakes on all offenders referred to the ELECTRONIC MONITORING program.
Installs/hooks up equipment in the offenders home or other community location
Responds to all alerts either by phone or in person based on the severity of the alert/violation
Reports compliance/non-compliance to the appropriate referral source.
Inputs data into various portals on a daily basis
Tracks program inventory. Orders, returns and is accountable for equipment.
Works effectively with agency team members, Probation, Law Enforcement, the courts and the youth's family.
Ensures operational procedures are adhered to at all times

BACKGROUND CHECKS
Must have the ability to pass a series of registry and background checks, have a current driver's license with less than 3 points assessed and the ability to pass pre-employment drug & alcohol screenings.
