Responsibilities
- Deploys, migrates, and documents post-sales engagement with customers based on clients' best practices
- Collaborates with world class network integrators
- Assists in the delivery of support and services to customer's expectations as proposed
- Participates in the design, implementation and administration of Cisco infrastructure and related solutions
- Troubleshoots high end issues with networking, security and wireless infrastructures
- Assists in determining specific customer network requirements
- Assists in developing specific network, security and wireless solutions
- Assists in developing detailed implementation plans
- Conducts architecture chalk talks and design concepts
- Facilitates and conducts product demonstrations, webinars and presentations to customers' Ability to monitor and determine capacity requirements.
- Plan and perform MACDs
- Support network expansion for new circuits (customers)
- Installing cards
- Assist NOC with troubleshooting (needs to have technical skills)
- Trained on cleaning/testing optical fibers
- SME at regional meetings

Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- Must have extensive knowledge of high performance data center solutions, network infrastructure LAN/WAN, network security, and enterprise wireless infrastructures
- Expert knowledge of WAN Circuits, MPLS, EIGRP, OSPF, BGP, RIP, FR/ATM, ACLs, TCP/IP, IPX
- Extensive experience designing, implementing, and troubleshooting VLANs using Juniper equipment, to include intimate knowledge of Spanning Tree Protocol, VLAN Trunking Protocol, inter-VLAN routing, IPV6 and trunking with ISL and 802.1q
- Strong knowledge of VPN IPSec/SSL solutions and hands-on deployment experience
- Knowledge of Load Balancing for Web systems and e-commerce uses Juniper EVPN implementation Experience as well as knowledge of the Building Blocks of EVPN (eBGP, OSPF or ISIS Underlay, BGP Overlay, Data Center Interconnects, VLAN-to-VNI mappings, micro segmentation using VRFs)
- Juniper Service Provider Knowledge and Experience MPLS-based technology with an understanding of RSVP and LDP
- Understanding of Route Reflector usage and IX Environments, including the use of BGP route policies and community strings
- Ability to utilize existing templates and generate Project specific Documentation and As-builts for Day-2 hand-off
- Ability to utilize existing templates to create Method of Procedure (MOP) Documents and remotely support hands-and-eyes to direct physical work in Data Centers
- Understanding and ability to develop Method of Procedures, Test Plans for Verification of new services as they are implemented across the network
- Ability to take configurations, documentation, and general project footprints from past best practices "known-good implementations (EVPN deployments, IX deployments, & Service Provider Turnups) and adjust them for utilization on this project while also introducing "new and current best-practice elements
- Understanding of the Public ISP workflow turnup procedure to enable customers onto the network as well as connect to upstream and peering providers
- IPV4 and IPv6 address design and allocation skills
- Ability to work hands on at data centers and lead and guide customer personnel with hardware installation and connectivity.
- Basic understanding of Optical Networking and how it will interact with the Juniper Infrastructure footprint (Grey Wave vs. Alien Wave handoffs, DWDM terms, Optical light levels, FEC configuration)
- Document configurations for the router, switches, optical equipment, and management
- IP Addressing plan
- Routing structures for OSPF and BGP
- Use of Spanning tree for layer-2 services
- Configuration of management access (SNMP, SYSLOG, NetFlow)
- Configure security of Juniper and switches (i.e., Firewall filter on loopback interfaces)
- Configure the Juniper QFX switches for layer-2 services
- Configure all layer-3 services will be provided by the Juniper MX routers.
- Work with the Customer management team to obtain a ASN from ARIN
- Work with Customer to determine strategy for Public IP addresses for ISP operations
- Work with customers to determine ISP services paid and private peering strategy.
- Ability with experience on Junos OS, high-performance, modular network operating system that is supported across all of Jupiter's physical and virtual routing, switching, and security platforms, reducing the cost, complexity, and resources required to implement and maintain a Juniper-based network. With secure programming interfaces, the Juniper Extension Toolkit (JET), versatile scripting support, and integration with popular orchestration frameworks, Junos OS offers flexible options for continuous delivery and DevOps-style management, helping service providers unlock more value from the network.
- Lead Project lifecycle with supporting documentation and as built towards closure document (includes successes, best practices, assist with resolving open issues).
- Understanding of Automation Tools and an ability to utilize them to increase efficiency of configuration deployment across infrastructure
- Knowledge transfer sessions with customers and assigned Resident Engineer resources.
